It’s the year 2147. Advancements in nanotechnology have enabled us to control aging. We’ve genetically engineered mosquitoes to feast on carbon fumes instead of blood, ending air pollution. And teleportation has become the ideal mode of transportation, offered exclusively by International Transport―a secretive firm headquartered in New York City. Their slogan: Departure... Arrival... Delight!

Book Reading & Signing

This book is a redo of Carole's 1994 book "In the Children's Garden," which was illustrated by Lynn Pauley. The book was sadly ahead of its time with its focus on urban gardening, and it went out of print, BUT it's back and better than ever!

This update centers the text and illustrations on the inspiration for the story: The Children's Garden created by Seattle Tilth at the Good Shepherd Center in Wallingford. Pierr, Carole, and Tegan (our children's book buyer was the editor) took field trips to the garden together to scout and photography for inspiration.

Join QABC for pudding "dirt" cup snacks: chocolate pudding cups topped with Oreo crumbles and gummy worms, flower cookies, clementines, lemonade, and Arts and Crafts!
We will kick off our event inside with a quick book signing
and finish off in our back patio!
